Born and raised in Bloomington, I have grown up in this community. I graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2009 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and 2011 with a M.S. in Environmental Engineering. I have over 6 years of experience in the civil site design industry and facility planning. I especially enjoy working on storm water projects including low impact design and stream/wetland restoration.
I am a licensed professional engineer in the state of Indiana and a LEED Accredited Professional. Additionally, I am a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
When I'm not busy with design and planning, I enjoy spending my free time baking and helping crew the family hot air balloon!
Nathan (Nat) Abram, PE
Born and raised in Bloomington Indiana, I grew up in family owned businesses. My father, Jerry Abram, was a self-employed home builder until I was age 4 when he started his own excavating and grading company along with his younger brother. My mother, Marie Abram, was sole proprietor and owner of Chez-Marie Beauty Salon which she operated out of a dedicated salon facility in the lower level of our home. I attended Edgewood High School in Ellettsville Indiana and then attended Purdue University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I returned to Purdue some years later and received a Master’s Degree in Executive Management from Purdue’s Krannert School of Management. I worked 8 years as a mechanical engineer with Otis Elevator Company, 12 years as an estimator, project manager, and electrical engineer for Cassady Electrical Contractors, Inc. I am currently employed full-time as an electrical engineer at NSWC Crane and I am a part-time electrical engineer with Abram-Moss Design Group, LLC.
I received my Indiana State Professional Engineers License in 1992. I have also previously held professional engineering licenses in New York and New Jersey and held various certifications with the American Welding Society.
I spend my leisure time with my family, being active in our Church (Ellettsville Christian Church), our bible study group, my local Masonic Lodge at Ellettsville Indiana, the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite, and running my hobby business repairing and servicing chainsaws and outdoor power equipment for friends and family.
